EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, is a researched-based method of therapy for dealing with unresolved trauma and distressing life events that often produces more rapid results than traditional talk therapy.
EMDR therapy does not require talking in detail about the distressing issue or completing homework between sessions. EMDR therapy, rather than focusing on changing the emotions, thoughts, or behaviors resulting from the distressing issue, allows the brain to resume its natural healing process. EMDR therapy is designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain. For many clients, EMDR therapy can be completed in fewer sessions than other psychotherapies.

EMDR Intensives
Personalized treatment through an EMDR intensive is highly concentrated, focused, and effective. Transformational healing may occur with fewer treatment hours than would be expected with traditional talk therapy and/or a symptom management approach. The process is more efficient and may require less session time and less cost.

EMDR intensives are designed to support you in working toward your treatment goals with a proven and structured method. An intensive format may decrease overall treatment time because of time not spent on a) addressing current crises and concerns, b) focusing on stabilizing and coping skills between sessions, c) checking in and wrapping up at the beginning and end of each session. EMDR Intensives allow you to progress through your symptoms of anxiety, depression, and more, in a focused way without the interruption of a 50—minute session.
